To become an Approved Driving Instructor you need to pass 3 tests:
- Part 1: theory test (100 multiple choice questions and a hazard perception test)
- Part 2: driving test (1 hour assessment of your driving ability)
- Part 3: test of instructional ability (An examiner from DVSA observes a driving lesson and assesses your instructional ability)

Training Costs:
- £2080.00 (to be paid in full prior to the course commencing)
The above price is the training fee to prepare you for the 3 qualifying tests. This is for 52 hours of one to one training. 2 hours theory training (part 1), 10 hours driver development (part 2) and 40 hours instructional training (part 3). The course fee is based on an hourly training fee of £40

Trainee licence:
- Trainee driving instructor licence = £140
Registration:
- First ADI certificate (badge) = £300
